Relating to threats of suicide while in court custody
This bill requires that if someone in custody or appearing in court attempts or threatens suicide, the facility or court must report the incident to the department of criminal justice information services within 24 hours. This information will be added to criminal justice records and shared only with authorized agencies. If a person who has attempted or threatened suicide is moved between facilities or courts, the sending entity must inform the receiving entity in writing.
